You need your passport and Schengen visa.
You should buy Swiss francs, but also you can pay with euros.
You must have good knowledge of French or German, as these are the official languages in this wonderful place.
If you go in winter, you need cold weather clothing such as gloves, hats and coats. If you go in summer is necessary to wear sandals, bathing suit and sunglasses.
But any time you go, you need to buy a good guidebook. You should not travel without a guidebook.

    Lake Luzern
The tried and tested infrastructure is exemplary, with facilities to meet every need: modern, traditional, and delightfully off-beat. A visit to the Lake Lucerne Region, and the picturesque city of Lucerne, is an experience to warm the heart.

The hiking paradise in Appenzeller Land begins in the gently rolling hills at Lake Constance and stretches across verdant pastures to the pre-alpine Säntis Massif. Wellness and well-being are not just buzz words here. Various hotels and spa buildings are equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and welcome visitors. This the most typically Swiss of all cantons, where traditions are alive and well, enchants visitors with its authentic customs and excellent gastronomy and cuisine. Enjoy our superb quality of life: unadulterated and spiced with good-natured humor. You will never find noisy and over-crowded pistes in Appenzeller Land.

14 cable railways whisk winter sports visitors up into the high Alpine ski area of Motta Naluns. Gentle pistes alternate with testing mogul fields and wide powder-covered slopes. Connoisseurs speak highly of the 12 km long "dream piste" down to Scuol or Sent, while the more daring rave about the Snow and Fun Park. With its BognEngiadinaScuol health and bathing centre, and the first Turkish bath in Switzerland, Scuol has developed into one of the major holiday, wellness and health destinations.

The lake plateau and snow-covered mountain pine woods provide the ideal setting for long walks. 180km of well-prepared tracks make Silvaplana a cross-country skier's paradise. Kitesailing on the lake, tobogganing on the 1km long toboggan run, snow-shoe treks and an ice stadium with a curling rink guarantee pure winter fun.

The Heidi story is an overarching theme. There is a Heidi path and a Heidi house in the neighboring BündnerHerrschaft; the Heidi Musical has already been performed several times. The vacation region enjoys the quality seal “Families Welcome”. There are other sights, too: the spa city of Bad Ragaz with its grand hotels, its wellness offerings, casino and exclusive golf courses; the skiing and hiking regions of Flumserberg and Pizol; the vacation paradise of Kerenzerberg, the Lake Walen vacation resorts of Amden and Weesen, as well as the medieval castles of Sargans and Werdenberg.

Switzerland is one of the countries in the world with the most luxurious hotels you can find. In almost all regions of Switzerland's hotels are a marvel worthy of a rich country and traditional.
I guess one of the best hotels typical of Swiss is Boutique.Hotel Beau-Séjour.

Nestled in the Valais Alps, this charming boutique hotel is sure to impress with its personal service. We serve delicious, homemade cakes each afternoon. Our 20 rooms are beautifully appointed with wooden furniture and the hotel is also home to an art gallery and boutique. The hotel is located only 400 m away from the cable car, easily enabling wonderful excursions to our magnificent mountain paradise.
