There are a fast growth the victims of domestic violence or rape in
Colombia, that is why the children are in risk of neglect and urgently
need for psychological supporting and guidelines to restore their lives.

“Hogares Maria Goretti” is a non-profit private
institution which gives protection and complete
formation to the girls from 7-18 years old, who
have been victims of violence or rape.
Institution, invests and grants funds to promote
equity and opportunity for girls..

About us
CALI SAN FERNADO
• "Hogares Maria Goretti" was found in 1969 offering a support for
children victims of abuse.
• In the last 3 years, we had supported 134 children submitted from
ICBF and 51 of them were returned to their families, 31 girls of
134 were voluntarily retired, 9 teenagers went out just ending
their 18 years old, and currently we have 32 children between 7
to 18 years old; 19 of them are waiting for adoption and 13 are
doing hard work to return back to their families.

PHYLOSOPHY
Hogares Maria Goretti, conceived as a stopgap
institutionalization response to move on the battered
child and not as a solution to the problem.
Thus the protection and training are addressed
holistically, creating therapeutic spaces in which to
acquire the basic skills to participate and contribute
positively to society.

Fernando Rotary Club have a great challenge every day
to provide to children a better quality of life.

To rise these goals, the teenagers:
• Have a diet assigned by a nutritionist
• Children and their family receive a
psychological assistance helping to
restore the child’s sense of self,
comfort and safety.
• Have medical and dental care
• Who can't back home, they can stay in
our institution until they are adopted
or they are 18 years old
• During their stay, they receive a
professional and technical education
to have a role in society at the
majority age.

the maintenance charges of the

Our job is searching for the support of a lot of people and
organizations, who understand the responsibility of society in the
care of these children and the restoration of their rights.

Main challenges by 2012-2013:

- Growth our facilities to provide care for 45 girls instead of
current 32.
- We are creating the School of Arts and Crafts Maria Goretti,
in order to develop the skills needed in the future and
guarantee the survival of girls when they leave Hogares Maria
Goretti.
- Promote Maria Goretti as Product Brand: A program that also
seeks to contribute to the formation of the girls, market the
products in the home to ensure sustainability
