SCENARIO # 1
The students have just finished reading, “The Crucible.” The students are now asked to create a mock trial around the idea that a student has stolen an item from the classroom. Three students play the role of the lawyer and other students play witnesses while other students observe and are part of the jury. One student is chosen to be the suspect. The teacher is filming the trial and will replay it so that students can observe how they acted during the trial.
SCENARIO # 2
The teacher is showing the movies, “The Patriot.” The students are taking notes on the movie paying specific attention to imagery, personification, metaphor, and similes.
