  4. 4. 2. History of the Smartphone<br />In 1993 IBM released “Simon”, the first mobile phone with computer like capabilities. <br />
  5. 5. 2. History of the Smartphone<br />In 1996 Nokia released a line of phones directed mainly to the business world starting with the Nokia 9000. <br />
  6. 6. 2. History of the Smartphone<br />In 1997 Ericsson came out with Penelope. The first device to be called a Smartphone.<br />
