I have a huge dataset, in fact we all do!

How do I make sense of it?
I started with a small subset of my data
(the public transportation system)
Build a heatmap.

*insert nerdy things here*
Export of data varies a lot and often incomplete.
Streetnames to lat/long with Google API.
Build upon Google’s architecture (GAE) & Python.
Crappy coding, slow & inefficient.
Results:
1000 total stations so far (03/2011)
77 different ones
Bus/train stations
Geo-coordinates? predictability/patterns/usage why?

General thoughtsabout QS-systems
Near perfect memory with tracking systems.
Humans are bound to break the rules, even if they are set by a system of their own.
Getting to your data is becoming easier
Casting and remodeling of data is hard
Extracting knowledge is difficult
