• Data collected by Pathable from attendees at the BarCamp Seattle 2008 event
  • Data collected from attendees at the NMC 2009 Conference
  • The design can be customized with your brand, URL, layout and color scheme. This is different from LinkedIn or Facebook in that its YOUR conference, so it’s YOUR community. You own it, not another LinkedIn or Facebook.
  • The design can be customized with your brand, URL, layout and color scheme. This is different from LinkedIn or Facebook in that its YOUR conference, so it’s YOUR community. You own it, not another LinkedIn or Facebook.
  • Profiles include photos, bios, links to web sites including LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, etc. Automatically identifies which of your friends from Twitter are also attending, aggregates your tweets and blog posts onto the page and recommends people you should meet based on common interests.
  • Use Pathable to increase your sponsorship sales. Sponsors don’t just want logo placement, they want to participate in a community with the attendees. That’s how they build relationships!
  • Each sponsor gets their own page that rolls up their logo, description, links to their web site, downloadable materials and a list of the attending delegates from the sponsoring organization.

    16. 16. Pathable FAQs

How long does it take to build and deploy a Pathable community?

In many cases, it can be as few as several days, but typically the time from contract to launch is ~2 weeks, which includes client review and design iteration.

Who owns the data?

You, the customer, own the data. Pathable hosts it for you on our secure servers, but will never independently contact or market to your attendees.

How long does the site work for?

Typically, a Pathable site is launched ~2 months prior to the event itself and continues to live for 1 year following (at which time, for annual events, we recommend rolling your community into the following year’s site). These timings are flexible, though, and can be tailored to your event’s needs.

Why wouldn’t we just use Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn?

Pathable offers a branded, safe community for your event that you own. You don’t get to control your brand or the sponsors or ads that appear on other services. For example, inappropriate ads, or ads for competitors might show up elsewhere.

Is Pathable expensive?

No, Pathable is very affordable. In fact, in many cases, a single “Community Sponsor” can more than off-set the initial out-of-pocket costs for Pathable. Pathable has proven ROI in terms of increased attendance through social marketing tools provided and improved attendee satisfaction, which translates into increased renewals. If your attendees are coming to network, can you afford not to provide a solution?
