Mask design research

  1. 1. Masquerade Mask Design Research
  2. 2. Other Existing Designs  These are the main photos that stimulated my design. Looking at the contrast in colours and the shape of a couple of the existing designs. Especially the design with the handle hanging from the mask. Also I like the idea of having a additional texture on top of the other mask.
  3. 3. Mask Structure  This is the basic structure that I am going for with my design using a stick for a handle it is also the basic outline for my mask, however my design would contain more rounded eyes as I like this style better and my design is for a man.
  4. 4. Mask Texture  The texture of the mask is going to be a wire mesh on half and the other half is going to be plain and smooth. This is to add depth to the mask as one side with seem darker because it is covered which will cast a shadow below it.
  5. 5. Mask Colour  The colours I am have choose to uses are Black and Silver this allows me to again texturizes the mask and also stick to the traditional black mascaraed masks theme. These colours are also very masculine, which shows the audience what gender is behind the mask.
