Pyramids Pyramids are the resting places of the Dead and can take many years to build. Inside these structures, there are many passageways that lead to tombs and some to deathly pits. A famous example of a pyramid is the one built for Djoser(pictured). This was built around 2500 BC and still stands today.
Valley of the Kings The Valley of the Kings is the resting place of over fifty pharaohs from Ancient Egypt. These tombs were built in the Middle Kingdom to New Kingdom since there were many problems with thieves getting into the Pyramids. Some famous pharaohs that were buried in this valley was Ramses I, Seti I and King Tutankhamen
Hieroglyphics Hieroglyphics is the writing system of the Ancient Egyptians. Scribes were people who were trained to read and write these symbols. Hieroglyphics are found on the walls of famous tombs to tell the story of the person who has left the world. The Rosetta stone, is the guideline that helped Egyptologists to read hieroglyphics (pictured).
