Chelation therapy has been used as a success-
ful treatment for coronary disease since the
1950s, but the lack of substantial evidence for

Jason Pozner, MD
Comprehensive facial rejuvenation
SMAC’s Jason Pozner, MD is a skilled surgeon with experience performing procedures from head to
toe, but one of his favorites is facial rejuvenation with a facelift, fat grafting and laser resurfacing. A

about all plastic surgery procedures, but she has a particular interest in body sculpting with liposuction
and the revolutionary Cellulaze treatment. With recent hands-on training on her side, she offers a fresh
perspective on the latest advances in these areas—and unparalleled results for her patients.
There’s no one-size-fits-all approach to body sculpting, which is why Dr. Jack uses a variety of liposuc-
tion methods to personalize the procedure for each patient. In addition to traditional liposuction (which
is best for patients without skin laxity), she has other forms of liposuction at her disposal for those who

Andrew Rosenthal, MD has a passion for procedures that rebuild and restore both the face and body,

Rhinoplasty is one of the most frequent procedures performed by Dr. Rosenthal—and it’s also among
the most difficult in plastic surgery, a challenge Dr. Rosenthal loves. Nasal surgery is more about
refinement than restoration, and because the nose is in the center of the face, being meticulous is
a must. His ultimate goal is to improve facial harmony through subtle changes that have a dramatic
impact on a patient’s appearance, as well as their self-confidence and self esteem.
Today’s rhinoplasty is worlds away from the nose jobs of the past. The biggest advance has been the advent of 3D imaging.

Ninety percent of women have cellulite,
and regardless of how much you diet
and exercise, oftentimes these lumps and
bumps don’t budge. Cellulaze represents
an entirely new way to dramatically improve
the orange-peel appearance of cellulite, and

Unlike other procedures that use superficial
massage and ongoing treatments to smooth
the appearance of cellulite, Cellulaze actually
treats the underlying structure of the skin
to improve lumps and bumps for the long
term—in just one treatment.
This laser-assisted procedure is clinically
proven to increase the thickness of the skin,
and it targets the fibrous bands within the skin
that cause the “cottage cheese” appearance.
The Cellulaze treatment takes about one
to three hours (depending on the size of the
areas), and involves a few tiny incisions that
allow the doctor to smooth out dimples from
beneath the skin with a thin laser fiber. The
procedure is performed with local anesthe-
sia. For patients looking to increase their
comfort level, IV sedation or general anesthesia
is available – this method is preferred when
treating larger areas. Patients can resume
normal activities in a day or so and strenuous
exercise after about a week. Side effects
include minor bruising and discomfort, and
results continue to improve over the three to
12 months following treatment. In addition
to smoother skin with less dimpling, studies
show that Cellulaze increases skin thickness
by 25 percent and skin elasticity by 29 per-
cent—up to three years after one treatment.
The procedure cost starts at about $3,800
and varies depending on the number and

Josie’s journey to vitality began with
her family physician. Her current physician
recommended a trip to a psychiatrist, she
