  • 2. Logging Into the SystemDo you have a username? If not, contact your admin to setup your account.If you do, type in your username and password at the login screen. 2
  • 3. Creating a Phone List•Click on “Create a NewList” and then choosethe options you wish touse when creating yournew list.•Make sure you choose“Confirmed PhonesOnly” when creatingyour phone list.Otherwise, you will havepeople appear in the listwho do not have phonenumbers on record. 3
  • 4. Pulling your 2012 TargetsThe NCDP has put together several targets for you:• NCDP: Early Vote Target: Daytime Calls• NCDP: Early Vote Target: Evening CallsDepending on what type of voter contact your planning select theappropriate target. 4

Why use these targets?• Using these targets prevent voters from being called twice in one day by different campaigns.• It’s a self-cleaning list that removes voters recently canvassed by other campaigns and organizations in your area.• Using NCDP targets allow you to maximize your time on the phone.• Allows you to talk to the most productive voters first.• Allows you to save valuable volunteer time by having daytime callers call daytime targets and evening callers call evening targets. Most importantly: Helps Democrats win elections 5
  • 6. 2012 Targets NarrowingUnder the Locations drop down select your countyOnce your county is selected a precinct drop down menu will be visible. It’s agood idea to break your lists down into smaller precinct clusters of two orthree precincts at a time. Click the word “Precinct” to select multipleprecincts. 6
  • 7. Checklist for Creating a ListHave you selected “Confirmed Phones Only”?Have you selected the 2012: NCDP Targets?Have you selected your desired county and/or precincts?If you have done all of these things click “Search” 7
  • 8. Printing Your ListAftercompletingyour list andediting it asneeded thenext step is toprint the list.Click the Printbutton on theaction bar.
  • 9. Printing Your ListsIn the next menu you willsee a few options. The firstoption is report format.Select “2012 OSEV CALLREPORT”. Then select the“2012 NCDP Early Voting”script.The other options includeContacted How (i.e. Are youcalling or canvassing thislist?) and the title of yourlist, which will be printed onthe top of your lists.The contacted how answerwill decide how your sortorder is pre-populated.

Printing Your ListsOn the bottom of the Print menuyou will see a few other options:Printing Maps: It’s not necessary toprint maps since we’re callingthese votersPrint list number and pagenumber? Be sure this is selected.This allows you to pull your list upfor data entry after it’s completed.Print Early Vote Location? Thisprints out a sheet with Early Votinglocations in the county.Exclude Early, Absentee, andElection Day voters? Be sure this isselected to avoid canvassing votersthat have already cast a ballot.Then hit Next
  • 11. PDF CreationAfter hitting nextthe PDF creationscreen will popup.Click “My PDFFiles” to move tothe next screen.On the nextscreen select“Download File”.
  • 12. Printing PDF FileOnce you’vedownload the PDFfile, open it up. Toprint the documentgo to file in the topright corner andthen select print.This will bring upthe printer optionsmenu to allow youto print the file.
  • 13. Canvass Results: The legend to use when you do not reach the voterSurvey Questions: Use this legend to mark the results of the Survey Questions asked to voters. 13

Results: This section corresponds to the results key for not reaching votersSurvey Questions: This section corresponds to the answers to each question in the scriptImportant Information: Use this section to identify key districts each voters is registered tovote in.List Number: Use this number to enter the data after your voter contact event. 14
