  4. 4. Advanced Portfolio Research Tasks1. Timeline – development of your genre/product.2. Detailed analysis of 3 similar products for your main task focusing on the effect of technical areas and conventions. Use specific examples, terminology, and images.3. Summary of main task research – clearly identify key conventions of genre and form using images.4. Analysis of 2 similar products for both ancillary products focusing on technical areas and conventions. Use specific examples, terminology, and images.5. Summary of ancillary research – clearly identify conventions of genre and form using images.6. Research into institutions – what company would produce your product? How does it fit into the types of products they produce? What type of company is this? Ownership.7. Questionnaire & summary of results.8. Audience research – at least 2 other research tasks e.g. focus group, message boards, etc.9. Summary of audience research – what have you found out about who your target audience is and how to appeal to them?10. Audience profile – who is your ideal consumer – age, gender, interests, etc.11. Presentation on similar product – narrative, conventions, institution, audience, marketing.12. Analysis of promotional package – how is brand identity created across a range of linked products?13.
