It is typically located on a web page at a website. </li></ul><ul><li>Examples: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Internet Explorer </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Safari </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Firefox </li></ul></ul>
  2. 2. <ul><li>A website is secure if </li></ul><ul><ul><li>There is an interactive lock, normally located in the corner of the webpage. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>If there is an “s” in the http then that indicates the website is secure </li></ul></ul>
  3. 3. <ul><li>The Domain of the website is the .com, or .edu, or .gov. </li></ul><ul><ul><li>.com is commercial </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>.gov is government </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>.org is organization </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>.edu is education </li></ul></ul>
  4. 4. <ul><li>Look for who created the page </li></ul><ul><li>Look for the date of creation </li></ul><ul><li>Look for if the page is copyrighted. </li></ul><ul><li>Does the page title match the content and do the images relate as well? </li></ul><ul><li>Are there obvious spelling and grammar errors? </li></ul>
