Photographs are visual images captured using light and recorded on a light-sensitive surface such as photographic film or an electronic image sensor. The light patterns reflected or emitted from objects are recorded and processed chemically, digitally or as a digital image to store and redisplay the visual image. Photographs can be created in a number of different ways including through the use of a camera to capture scenes or subjects, chemically through photographic processes to develop images, or digitally through digital photography and imaging technologies.
