EVANGELISM <ul><li>TRAINING FOR EVANGELISM </li></ul><ul><li>Jesus said ; I will make you fishers of men ( Mat.4: 19 ) </li></ul><ul><li>“ Evangelist” a gift to the Church ( Eph. 4: 11 ) </li></ul><ul><li>Bible schools can give degrees; but not a heart to win souls; </li></ul><ul><li>Do not equate degrees with dedication for soul winning. </li></ul><ul><li>The Church (Elders) must be convinced before commenting </li></ul><ul><li>them (Acts: 13: 2) </li></ul><ul><li>They also must prove it in the home assembly ( Acts. 16: 1-2 ) </li></ul><ul><li>Duty seems more outside the church; where can find souls. </li></ul><ul><li>( Where is their duty; inside or outside the church ? ) </li></ul><ul><li>Surely the training equips one to be a good evangelist </li></ul>

Gospel of the Kingdom ( Matthew 24:13-14 ) </li></ul><ul><li>(Began to preach by John the Baptist and then by the Lord himself, but postponed since the king was rejected and so the kingdom also postponed) </li></ul><ul><li>2. The everlasting Gospel ( Revelation 14:6-7 ) </li></ul><ul><li>(The gospel of grace is not entrusted or could be preached by the angels) </li></ul><ul><li>3. “Another Gospel” (Which is not gospel at all- Gal 1: 6-9) </li></ul><ul><li>(Eg: The Christ who gives the prosperity, Bondage breaking, demands to do the work of the law for perfecting salvation etc,.) </li></ul>

EVANGELISM <ul><li>GOSPEL MUST BE PREACHED </li></ul><ul><li>How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? </li></ul><ul><li>And how shall they hear without a preacher? ( Rom.14: 16-18 ) </li></ul><ul><li>He must not be ashamed of the gospel ( Rom.1: 16 ) </li></ul><ul><li>He must be willing to suffer for the Gospel ( 1.Cor. 9: 12 ) </li></ul><ul><li>Never abuse the liberty . Method of Evangelism </li></ul><ul><li>Can you make use of advanced developments for evangelism? </li></ul><ul><li>Have not the invention of printing press made copies of Bibles, </li></ul><ul><li>books or tracts easy availability? </li></ul><ul><li>Have not the communication, Computers and transport made it </li></ul><ul><li>easy to reach people? </li></ul><ul><li>That which is not harmful, why we should not use? </li></ul><ul><li>Yet some of the old methods can never become obsolete. </li></ul><ul><li>House to house evangelism ( Acts5: 2; 20: 20 ) </li></ul><ul><li>Individual (personal) evangelism ( Acts 13: 7; 28: 30-31 ) </li></ul><ul><li>Synagogues (Places of religious gatherings – Acts 19: 8 ) </li></ul><ul><li>Market place (Place where people gather- Acts 17: 17 ) </li></ul>

EVANGELISM <ul><li>Beloved of the Lord </li></ul><ul><li>Your salvation is the free gift (Eph.2: 8) </li></ul><ul><li>but to get the rewards you need to work. </li></ul><ul><li>How can you face Him with out a soul won for him? </li></ul><ul><li>“ Must I go- and empty handed?” </li></ul><ul><li>Thus my dear Redeemer meet? </li></ul><ul><li>Not one day of service give him, </li></ul><ul><li>Lay no trophy at His feet? </li></ul><ul><li>“ Must I go- and empty handed” </li></ul><ul><li>Must I meet my Saviour so? </li></ul><ul><li>Not one soul with which to greet Him? </li></ul><ul><li>Must I empty handed go? </li></ul>
