Transcript

  • 1. The CV Dating Game
  • 2. What do you think is the purpose of a CV?
  • 3. Many people find creating a CV is dull and boring
  • 4. A good CV could land you your dream job
  • 5. A bad CV is bad for the environment
  • 6. A CV is much like online dating • You should put yourself in the best possible light to ensure you get selected • You are more likely to be selected if there’s a close match of how you meet the other person’s needs
  • 7. Would you like to meet someone who writes: ‘I had a string of failed relationships and I got thrown out of the house in my last relationship as we had a massive argument.’ Or: ‘I am trustworthy, reliable and a good listener. I can communicate well with people at all levels and have a positive attitude.’
  • 8. • Don’t be so humble that your CV ends up in the bin • It’s good to blow your own trumpet if it’s the truth
  • 9. • The employer is usually relying on that piece of paper to decide whether they want to see you in person – so make sure it is in your favour!
  • 10. • Brought to you by: www.josiecoaching.com
