What Ended World War II <ul><li>America dropped a nuclear bomb on Hiroshima on August 6, 1945 and then dropped another nuclear bomb on Nagasaki on August 9, 1945 and the Japanese surrendered on September 2, 1945 with the United States & the Soviet Union emerging as superpowers. </li></ul>
