    • Strobilanthes Kunthiana, more locally known as “Neelakurinji” is a bushy plant with several branches. The species name Kunthiana has been derived from the River Kunthi which flows through the rich expanse of the renowned Silent Valley National Park in Kerala. It carpets the mountain slopes with it’s flowers, once in every 12 years, and so it has become a sight for many, once in a life time. The flowering season ranges between August and November, with the peak period, being September and October. The flowers are next due in the year 2018
