2.  WFAN, the Tri-State area’s 24-hour sports
radio network, recently moved its annual
All-Stars softball game to Flowers (City) Park
in New Rochelle, New York, the hometown
of morning host Craig Carton. The game
was hosted by the Boomer & Carton
morning show, and this year it raised money
for the New Rochelle Park & Recreation Gift
Fund. A team of celebrities took on a “city
team” coached by Harold Crocker, athletic
director of the College of New Rochelle.

3.  The celebrity line-up included many well-known
faces from New York and around the country,
including criminal defense attorney Joe Tacopina,
American Idol finalist and Broadway star Constantine
Moroulis, and former Major League Baseball star
Cecil Fielder. Boomer Esiason, co-host of Boomer &
Carton and a retired NFL quarterback, also played
for the celebrity team. A number of New Rochelle
city employees and representatives from other New
Rochelle agencies and businesses played for the city
team.
Admission was free, but proceeds were collected
from a 50-50 raffle and other events during the
game.
