Scroll 1 Today I Begin A New Life

  1. 1. Today I Begin a New Life Scroll 1 Greatest Salesman In the Worldwww.
  2. 2. Today I begin a new lifeToday, I shed my old skin which hath too longsuffered the bruises of failure and the wounds ofmediocrity.Today, I am born anew and my birthplace is avineyard where there is fruit for all. www.
  3. 3. Failure no longer will be my payment for struggle. For just as nature made no provision for my body totolerate pain, neither has it made any provision formy life to suffer failure. In the past, I accepted failure as I accepted pain. Now I reject it.And I am prepared for wisdom and principleswhich will guide me out of the shadowsinto the sunlight of wealth, position and happinessfar beyond my most extravagant dreams. www.
  4. 4. In truth, the only difference between thosewho have failed and those who havesucceeded lies in the difference of theirhabits.Good habits are the key to all success.Bad habits are the unlocked door to failure. Thus, the first law I will obey is: I will formgood habits and become their slave. www.
  5. 5. Only principles endure. And these I nowpossess…For the laws that will lead me to greatnessare contained in this scrolls. What they will teach me is more to preventfailure than to gain success. For what is success other than a state ofmind? Which two, among a thousand wisemen, will define success in the same words?Yet failure is always described in but 1 way.Failure is man’s inability to reach goals in lifewhatever they may be. www.
  6. 6. As a child, I was a slave to my impulses. Now, I am a slave to my habits.I have surrendered my free will to the yearsof accumulated habits and the past deeds ofmy life have already marked out a pathwhich threatens to imprison my future. My actions are ruled by appetite, passion, prejudice, greed, love, fear, environment, habit and the worst of these tyrants is habit. Therefore, if I must be a slave to habit, letme be a slave to good habits. www.
  7. 7. And how will I accomplish this difficult feat?Through these scrolls it will be done, for eachscroll contains a principle which will drive abad habit from my life and replace it with onewhich will bring me closer to success.I must discipline myself with the first of mynew habits which is as follows: I will listen tothe words of each scroll for 30 days in thisprescribed manner before I proceed to thenext scroll. www.
  8. 8. First, I will listen to the words when I arise. Then I will listen to the words after I have partakenof my midday meal.Last, I will listen to the words again just before Iretire at day’s end. And most important, on thisoccasion, I will recite the words aloud as I listen. On the next day, I will repeat this procedure and Iwill continue in like manner for 30 days. Then I will turn to the next scroll and repeat thisprocedure for another 30 days.I will continue in this manner until I have lived witheach scroll for 30 days & my listening has becomehabit. www.
  9. 9. Herein lies the secret of all man’s accomplishments. As I repeat the words daily, they will soon become a partof my active mind. But more important, they will also seep into my othermind- that mysterious source which never sleeps, whichcreates my dreams and often makes me act in ways I donot comprehend. As the words of these scrolls are consumed by mymysterious mind,I will begin to awake each morning with a vitality that Ihave never known before;my vigor will increase, my enthusiasm will rise ,my desireto meet the world will overcome every fear I once knew atsunriseand I will be happier than I ever believed it possible to be.
  10. 10. Eventually I will find myself reacting tosituations which confront me as I wascommanded by these scrolls to react. And soon these actions and reactions willbecome easy to perform. Thus, a new and good habit is born. www.
  11. 11. Today, I begin a new lifeAnd I make a solemn oath to myself that nothingwill retard my new life’s growth.I will lose not a day from these scrolls, for that daycannot be retrieved nor can I substitute another forit. The few moments spent each day on this new habitare but a small price to pay for the happiness andsuccess that will be mine. www.
  12. 12. Never will I allow the brevity of each scroll northe simplicity of its words to cause me to treatthe scroll’s message lightly.Thousands of grapes are pressed to fill 1 jarwith wine. So it is with this grapes of wisdomfrom the ages.Only the pure truth lies distilled in the words tocome.Today, my old skin has become as dust.I will walk tall among men and they will knowme not; for today I am a new person with anew life. www.
