  2. 2. The second conditional or conditional type 2 is a structure used for talking about imaginary or improbable situations and their consequences.<br /> Things that we think difficult to happen, because the condition is not probable.<br />
  3. 3. A second conditional sentence consists of two clauses, an "if" clause and a main clause:<br />These sentences work just like the first conditionals, the only difference is that they are less probable.<br />
  4. 4. We use different verb forms in each part of a second conditional:<br />

  6. 6. Wealso use thefirstconditionaltogiveadvice in sentenceslike:<br /> “If I wereyou….I wouldn’tgo”<br /> ….I wouldstay.”<br />(Noticethatwe use theform “were” and not “was”)<br />
