    • 1. The Beatles were undoubtedly the most influential band of the20th century. In a course of 8 years, they changed not only rockand roll, but also the face of all music forever. the band wentthrough several members, the more noteworthy of these would beJohn Lennons closest friend Stuart (Stu) Sutcliffe - born June 23,1940, Edinburgh, Scotland, dead April 10, 1962, Hamburg,Germany - (on bass guitar) and Pete Best - born 1941, Liverpool,England - (the drummer before Ringo).

    • 5. Beatlemania exploded in the United States with threenational television appearances by the Beatles on TheEd Sullivan Show on 9 February, 16 February and 23February 1964. In 1964 they held the top five places onthe Billboard Hot 100, a feat that has never beenrepeated.
    • 6. In 1967they focused all of their effort on recording, andafter 700 hours in the studio, Sgt Peppers LonelyHearts Club Band was hailed as a revolutionary album.Its complexity and creativity forever raised the bar forall future recording artists.

Arguments between the band members was making itincreasingly difficult to concentrate on collaborativeefforts. In 1969, largely due to McCartneys efforts,they recorded their final album, Abbey Road. The bandofficially broke up in 1970 and a few months later LetIt Be followed as their last commercial album release
    • 8. `Abbey Road´, whose cover of the Beatles in a zebracrossing became so famous, is considered to be their`good bye´ album. Nevertheless, after so many years,they still own fanatical fans all over the world andmany of their songs have remained evergreen up to thepresent time.
