Joomlatools Extension Logos - A separate logo for each extension

  1. 1. Joomlatools Extensions Logos A separate logo for each extension
  2. 2. Goal! ! Create a separate logo for each extension to be used on: the Joomla Extensions Directory, our own website and on external media like banners etc. ! We needed our extensions to differentiate from each other because we’re going to advertise the extensions separately.
  3. 3. Requirements! ! Before we started we made a list of requirements for these logos: ! Needs to have an aspect ratio of 1:1 Needs to have a horizontal version for smaller areas Should be based on a grid for easy extending Needs to work in monochrome color All logos need to look good together Must be extendible (modules, plugins etc.)
  4. 4. Proposed colors! ! By using clear colors we ensure that we stand out on the JED for example.
  5. 5. Proposed font! ! Open Sans Extrabold (Google font) The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog ! Open Sans Light (Google font) The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog ! By using an open source web font we are sure the right font is always available to everybody. The “Open Sans” font has a lot of font-variations and looks very good with the “Proxima Nova” font used on our website.
  6. 6. Use of font! ! DOCman LOGman FILEman EXTman
  7. 7. Icons! ! Icons are based on a 24x24 grid and use rounded corners on the hard edges to soften the overall look.
  8. 8. Bringing it together
  9. 9. Icon only
  10. 10. Horizontal
  11. 11. Extending for modules/plugins
  12. 12. Poster examples (built on EXTman) An example of what we could potentially do with the new logos. ! By showing the gear icon in the back we can show that DOCman is built upon EXTman
