Spare Tyre uses theatre with voiceless communities to provide opportunities for people's life stories to be shared and celebrated, creating theatre that transforms lives and challenges social prejudice .
We work intensively with up to 80 people a year who have dementia, autism, sensory impairment, physical impairment, seizures, downs syndrome… We train up to 40 volunteers and employ 40 regular freelance staff annually. We reach audiences of 2,500 each year.
We have to maintain inc.Theatre and ETC workshops – ST’s bread and butter - whilst planning for bigger shows:
Investment in high production values
Investment in staff - support, press and marketing, artists
Investment in accessible transport
