1. How did you use media technologies in the construction, planning, research and evaluation stages?
2. Research and Development Media technologies allowed us to research into short films in great detail by looking up the rules of short films. Also by looking at example short films for example Spike Jonze and researching his filming. One website that was good for researching short films was virgin shorts which showed us examples of successful short films which allowed us to find out what works as a short film. And allowed us to create a piece that would work as a short film.
3. Filming The use of hi-def cameras, HD storage, mac software and final cut pro allowed us to create a piece of professional work. These are used in the film industry which gave us the skills of professional work. This allowed us to get the best possible piece of work
4. Adobe CS4 to produce print work (poster and Article) this software is easy to make and also makes the work look as professional as can be. It was very important to use this software because it allowed us to be as creative as we could be with the poster and article.
5. While filming When filming we were able to work with cameras that allowed us to experiment and re-shoot with our filming. This was a very important part of our filming process because again the new media technologies allowed us to be as creative as possible.
6. Blog work All our preparation and final work was put on a blogging website which made our work seem more proffesional and because of the way it was set out on blogger we could add more detail and go into different areas of our film and research. This allowed us to present our work in a better and more detailed fashion.
7. Final Cut Pro Final cut pro is the best software for editing film work on a mac. Also it is regarded as one of the best editor in the film world, this is a positive because it allowed us to work with the best media software and create the best work possible. It allows editing and soundtrack to be used. This made it simple to create a good media product.
8. Email We used email and websites to contact Interpol and matador records to get permission to use their music in our film. This made our short film better and more professional.
9. Internet The internet has provided many services for our work such as prezi wish allows us to create more eye catching work. Also it allows us to add work to the internet on such websites as YouTube and vimeo which allows better and professional work.
10. Problems The only problem we had with new technology is the software when used too much became over loaded and slow we persevered by being patient with the work.
11. skills Our media skills have improved greatly by this project. Using all the different software and features allowed is to take a look into the media world. Also we have learned how to create a good short film, making it professional and a product that appeals to our certain target audience via our research and planning.
