PMOz 2009 - A Year in the Trenches : My Journey Back from Consultant to Employee

There are many books and seminars about making the move from employee to consultant – but I went the other way, and it hasn’t been the “easy ride” I was expecting !
Project Managers may operate in one of three quite different “modes” – corporate project managers, representatives of consultancy firms, and solo practitioners.
There are key differences, and pros and cons, associated with each of these modes and this presentation will explain – based on my recent experience – what they are.
This presentation was made to the PMOz 2009 conference in Canberra.
