  2. 2. You would not believe your eyes,<br />the properties we try<br />They confuse us all <br />& make us cry.<br />We can make sense of them<br />Follow the steps within<br />Think about the song,<br />It wont take long<br />
  3. 3. Distribute the number that’s outside…<br />Multiply 2( ? + ?)<br />To the numbers you find inside<br />( 3 + 1)<br />Then just add or subtract the<br />Products that you see <br />2 (3 + 1) = (2 x 3) + (2 x 1)<br />2( 4) = 6 + 2<br />8 = 8<br />This is not as hard as it seems!<br />
  4. 4. Now on to the next property<br />COMMUTATIVE you see<br />Is multiply or add in either way!<br />2 + 3 = 3 + 2<br />And 2 x 3 is 3 x 2<br />Doesn’t matter the order you do!<br />
