  2. 2. <ul><li>The simple way to access your router configuration settings is to type the IP address of the router into your web browser. For example,  http://192.168.1.1 </li></ul><ul><li>That is a default IP address for numerous routers. If by any chance you have forgotten the password, follow the next steps. </li></ul><ul><li>Click START on the desktop </li></ul><ul><li>Click RUN and type cmd. </li></ul><ul><li>Click OK and the command prompt will appear. </li></ul><ul><li>Type ipconfig and you will see the router configuration. </li></ul><ul><li>For example: Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.2.5 Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0 Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.1 </li></ul><ul><li>Look at the Default Gateway. Don’t forget to add http:// in front of the IP address there. </li></ul><ul><li>If by any chance you are asked to provide a password you can either search for it </li></ul><ul><li>on Google or reset the password by placing a paper-clip into the little hole behind </li></ul><ul><li>the router. </li></ul><ul><li>By 192.168.0.2 </li></ul>
