We believe that the time spent discussing the various concepts wasvery beneficial. As a result of the meeting, we are requesting a Rough Order Magnitude cost of five differentextruded alternatives (3 shapes, 2 materials – Ti 6-4 and 15-5 Steel). See attached powerpointdrawing for dimensions (separate e-mail attachment). The alternatives are: 1. Canted Angle to fit in 5.5” Die – 15-5 Steel, 90” long, 0.7 thk. 2. Canted Angle to fit in 5.5” Die – Ti 6-4, 90” long, 0.7 thk. 3. Straight Angle to fit in 6.0” Die – Ti 6-4, 90” long, 0.7 thk. 4. Smaller Cross Section Straight angle to fit in 5.5” Die – 15-5 Steel, 72” long, .45 - . 57 thk. 5. Smaller Cross Section Straight angle to fit in 5.5” Die – Ti 6-4, 72” long, .45 - .57 thk.It is our intention that these shapes will be provided by Plymouth in the annealed condition, andthen shipped to a heat treat facility (such as Bodycote, for straightening and heat treating). Pleasesubmit Plymouth pricing quotation (recurring, and nonrecurring – if any) no later than November,19, 2001. Quote shall be based on 2001 dollars, at a ramp up to 96 extrusions per year (8extrusions per month). Total over 14 years = 1024 extrusions. If there are any questions regarding this, please contact me as soon as possible. However, regarding any future subcontracts issues will be handled John Davies, Subcontracts Adminstrator(Phone: 619-691-3274).Best Regards, Rohr, Inc., a subsidiary of The BFGoodrich Company, operating as BFGoodrich Aerospace/Aerostructures Group
