  • Before you begin this Workshop (WS) make a list of some questions you have about constructing a “Table of Specifications” -____________________________________________________________ -____________________________________________________________ -____________________________________________________________ -____________________________________________________________
  • Why are these items necessary to construct a TOS? -____________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________

  • Look at the objectives you have listed. Think about how much time you have spent covering each objective. Write down a percentage for each objective. -____________________________________________________________ -____________________________________________________________ -____________________________________________________________ -____________________________________________________________ Next look again at the objectives. What was the learning goal for each objective? How much time was spent on each goal? • State only one outcome in each objective
  • 4. Step 2 – Decide on the relative weight of each objective
    • Some considerations
      • Determine the amount of time spent teaching and learning each objective
      • Determine the classification of the objectives using Bloom’s Taxonomy of learning
  • 5. Bloom’s Taxonomy of Learning
  • 6. Step 3a – Completing the TOS
    • Write down the testing objectives and draft weighting
  • 7. Step 3b – Completing the TOS
