My First Presentation using Office Web Apps - Presentation Transcript

    1. This PowerPoint presentation was created completely on the web
Via Windows Live and Office Web Apps
This is my very first PowerPoint Web App presentation ever
    2. The edit, or design, view looks like this
    3. There are lots of options for different slide layouts and SmartArt
      Layout Options
      SmartArt Options
    4. In the PowerPoint Web App, there is no "Save" button
Your presentation is being saved automatically
You can also open your presentation in the full client version of PowerPoint at any time with one click
And, you can give feedback on the PowerPoint Web App Beta
    5. There's also a "Reading View"
    6. And a Slide Show view
    7. Other stuff about Office Web Apps
There's an Office Web App for the following parts of Office:
      PowerPoint Web App
      Word WebApp
      Excel WebApp
      OneNote WebApp
You can start your work in the traditional Office client app and move to an Office Web App or vice versa.
You won't lose fidelity as you move between client and web versions of Office
You can also work start-to-finish in either the Office client app or the Office Web App
      Office Web Apps are FREE
    8. The PowerPoint Web App is in Beta
Microsoft calls it a Tech Preview
It means you may find bugs
If you see a bug, or have other feedback, you can share your experience to help make the Office Web Apps better!
    9. Invites to the beta may be limited still
You may already have an invite waiting in your Sky Drive folders
Mine showed up there, and after I accepted the invite my Sky Drive document folders got new features to create new Office docs on the web like this
You do need a Windows Live ID... If you have a Windows Live Messenger, Hotmail, or  MSN account, or use Windows Live Writer, Windows Live Photo Gallery, or Windows Live MovieMaker, you already have one
