Recycling Reducing our Carbon Footprint Since 2001, IMAGETEC has been helping do their part in reducing our carbon footprint. We have taken several initiatives over the years making sure our company and employees realize the importance of saving the environment. In 2001, IMAGETEC implemented a cardboard recycling program. Since then, we have been recycling more than 1,000 bin yards per year. In addition, we began a paper recycling program which amounts to approximately 16,000 pounds of paper over the course of a year. This, in turn, reduces our actual landfill garbage by this amount. In more recent years, IMAGETEC deployed an inkjet and laserjet recycling program, so our customers can effectively rid of their old cartridges safely and effectively. IMAGETEC is studying a de‐manufacturing program where we have a cost‐effective end‐of‐life option for disposing of obsolete office product equipment in an environmentally responsible and highly secured way. All of our vendors (Toshiba, Ricoh, Konica Minolta and Lexmark) have a toner recycling program designed to help businesses return their toner cartridges easily, so all of us can continue to do our part and help the environment.
