What makes life worth living? – loving relationships, to contribute, secure finances, my ‘place’, and to feel safe.
Services, are not framed for this.
Communities are, but not for ‘the excluded’.
We can connect people with people.
Individual Service Funds can lead to new connections, relationship networks, + more.
We want to be experts at enabling ‘Good Lives’
The big picture
Features, needs and efficiencies
Features of your project
Collaboration between Providers and proven Animateurs
Access to extensive Community Development expertise and untapped ‘free’ resources/social capital
Local Capacity Building giving certainty over continued development and replication
Efficiencies created
Marketized social care often delivers poor VfM because it impacts perversely by creating dependency and weakens interdependence in communities. It exacerbates social exclusion. This project will demonstrate the ‘abundance’ in communities and build capacity amongst social care providers to work with communities in the interests of those they serve.
Needs your project meets
Contributing to strong, interdependent, and hospitable communities – Making Belonging possible
Ensuring that there is no-one alone – Facilitating Sustainable Relationship Networks
Laying the foundations for effective prevention and early intervention initiatives
Measures of success
Inspiring stories of reduced dependence
Participant provider organisations structured and skilled-up to contribute to, connect and organise with their communities and each other
People with developing relationship networks and evidence of benefits
Support
Expeditious action by ‘Procurers’ to facilitate the better use of existing funds/varying of restrictive specs and contracts as necessary
Responsive Project Liaison arrangements to quickly resolve sticking points and promote effective collaboration with LA’s
Champions in the LA’s served

I am /willing to attend the Festival of Ideas on 12 th November to talk about this project and to be signed up to the Innovation Exchange website to support this knowledge sharing after the event.
I do /understand that this event is the launch of the North East JIP’s Provider Development Fund and I am interested in the possibility of applying to this Fund in the future
I do /understand that this Fund will only support projects that involve collaboration between at least two providers of social care services and that funded projects will be part of an evaluation process to include both research interviews and knowledge sharing events.
