    Citizen Leader - Presentation Transcript

    1. CITIZEN LEADERS As a Citizen Leader in the North East I believe that Citizen Leaders could help in the support and development of ULO’s. Citizen Leaders have worked in coproduction on various bits of work on Personalisation and used our expertise. Funding is needed to keep this going.
      • By sharing real life experiences it helps a Local Authority to understand the benefits that a person with an Individual Budget has been able to achieve and how this could happen under Personalisation.
      • People other relate better to listening to someone’s experiences rather than just being faced with Powerpoint presentations which do not relate to real life experiences.
      • This method can also provide for some co-production work to be undertaken and certainly has at ‘national level’.
      Sharing real life experiences
    2. Features, needs and efficiencies Describe the 3 key features and benefits of your project, as well as the needs it meets.
      • Features of your project
      • Face to face involvement
      • Working in partnership with Local Authority(s)
      • Working with User Led Organisations giving our experience and knowledge.
      • Efficiencies created
      • No training needed as already done.
      • Needs your project meets
      • Involvement with disabled people
      • Partnership working
      • Co-production taking place on the ground
    3. Measures of success
      • Evaluation of working in co-production.
      • Monitoring of how this involvement helps those who engage with Citizen Leaders.
      • Reviewing what works best.
Evidence of impact helps enlist support. Describe 3 ways in which you will measure success and demonstrate your idea is making a difference.
    4. Support
      • Funding to keep Citizen Leaders in the North East
      • Promotion through effective information about the benefits of engaging with Citizen Leaders
      • Meeting facilities
Describe 3 key forms of support you need to get your idea off the ground? Although funding is always supportive, what other help do you need?
      • I am willing to attend the Festival of Ideas on 12 th November to talk about this project and to be signed up to the Innovation Exchange website to support this knowledge sharing after the event.
      • I do understand that this event is the launch of the North East JIP’s Provider Development Fund and I am interested in the possibility of applying to this Fund in the future
      • I do understand that this Fund will only support projects that involve collaboration between at least one or more providers of social care services and that funded projects will be part of an evaluation process to include both research interviews and knowledge sharing events.
