      • 5 hours per month of mentoring support for up to 1 year
      • Ongoing training and support from a dedicated Project Coordinator
      • Near to peer mentors
      • Benefits
      • Combats social isolation faced by individuals with mental health problems
      • Complements NHS mental health services
      • Encourages greater understanding of mental health issues
      • Needs
      • Offers individuals non judgemental support away from formal services or family
      • Offers crucial support in the transition towards more independent living
      • Offers individuals positive role models and the opportunity to participate in community life

      • Mentee self evaluation at quarterly intervals using the outcomes star
      • Feedback from mentors using end of relationship evaluation surveys
      • Feedback from relevant family members/health professionals
    5. Support
      • Specialist support to help improve our understanding of the commissioning of health services
      • Networking with other similar projects in the North West
      • Understanding the landscape better in the North West
