  • The Data Dialogue - How the "Internet of Things" Will Drive our Purchases and Behavior. The Internet of Things is the terminology used to describe how objects can be fitted with tags or other devices that let them record or emit data to the world at large. This could be a box in a supply chain (B2B) or a mailbox that emits a low-grade signal letting you know when the postman is making local pickups. Whether the data is around us, in our cars, or in our mobile devices, as RFID and other tagging devices become cheaper more and more objects will contain data that will provide vivid pictures on how we live our lives. This means that mobile communications is moving beyond smartphones. This discussion will help marketers plan campaigns that can leverage emerging technology for optimal consumer relevance.

Or, what is more likely, is that people can check out your health whether or not you want them to. They can make decisions about you - should I date you? If I’m an insurance carrier, are you a risk?
