  • 9. Live with Scripture consistently It’s a discipline – don’t expect it suddenly to become easy! It’s exercise – the results are usually gradual but the cumulative effect is life-changing! It’s food – sometimes you remember meals, sometimes you don’t, but they’ve all done you good! “ It should be getting easier by now... I’ve been a Christian for ages...” “ I can’t see any difference... It isn’t doing me any good...” “ Nothing sticks in my head...I can’t even remember what I was studying last week...”
  • 10. Build in Scripture constantly hear read study memorize meditate
  • 11. Live out Scripture carefully The danger of copying others The danger of living mechanically The danger of rationalizing sin The danger of wrong priorities
  • 12. Share Scripture confidently with non-Christians As the rain and the snow        come down from heaven,        and do not return to it        without watering the earth        and making it bud and flourish,        so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,   so is my word that goes out from my mouth:        It will not return to me empty,        but will accomplish what I desire        and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. Isa 55:10-11 with other Christians Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. Colossians 3:16 Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit. Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Ephesians 5:18-20
