  5. 5. Diagnosing<br />Ask if they have any Signs/Symptoms<br /> Ask if it runs in family<br />Finger prick blood test<br />Random blood sugar test<br />GTT<br />
  6. 6. More Diagnosing<br />Fasting blood sugar test<br />Normal person would be between 70-110mg/dL<br />Urine test<br />Glycated hemoglobin test<br />All accurate<br />Plan what to do with <br />disease<br />

Treatment<br />No cure<br />Only can manage<br />Blood sugar machine to check blood sugar levels daily<br />Insulin injections to eat and to bring down high blood sugar<br />Pump (puts insulin in the body without shots (picture))<br />Drastic treatment when a pancreas transplant<br />Will not kill you if it is managed correctly<br />
  8. 8. Problems<br />If not controlled<br />Eyes will be damaged and will have bad vision<br />Feet will lose feeling due to nerve damage<br />Heart disease is common<br />Kidneys will fail over time<br />
