    @prLab: I disagree. The point of building and maintaining media relations is getting positive coverage for your brand, product or service. This coverage is then hopefully read by buyers/influencers who will think better about your product. If your message doesn’t reaches these buyers, what’s the point of getting press coverage in the first place?

    My point with this presentation is that in this classic role model, journalists serve as a middleman between you and your audience. Online media gives you an opportunity to take away that middleman, and address your audience directly.

  17. Guidelines
  18. Have a story to tell.
  19. Make sure it's authentic .
  20. Use persona's to improve it.
  21. Reach out and tell your story.
  22. Then learn from the feedback .
  23. Show them you're learning.
  24. And join the conversation .
