2. First, the bad news
1. According to Dr. Susan Lipkins, “Over
the past ten years, hazing has become
more violent, more humiliating, and
more sexual. Hazing is a virus that has
attacked our youth and is spreading
quickly.”

more prevalent at HBCUs

A recent editorial from the HBCU Digest

The social capital cost lost by such an
incident can be simply immeasurable on a
schools brand.

5. Now, some good news
Coalitions and taskforces currently
being formed will heighten awareness
on our campuses about the
consequences of hazing.
For example, the Anti-hazing Coalition led by Dr. Jimmy
Hammock, International President of Phi Beta Sigma
Fraternity, Inc.

The launching of the new ANTIHAZE
National Hazing Hotline providing
students, parents, faculty and staff,

operational?

The ANTIHAZE Hazing Hotline that is available
to any student, parent, or other person who

immediately forwarded by email or text messages to
responders facilitating a rapid response;

in an effort to authenticate supplement the
information given in each call;
