Step 2: Insert outline text for a PowerPoint presentation from Word
You can insert an outline into Microsoft Office PowerPoint from .doc files, the resulting text is formatted based on heading styles set in the source document (Heading 1, Heading 2, Heading 3.) Send text from MS Word to a new presentation
In Word, open the document from which you want to send text.
On the File menu, point to Send To , and then click Microsoft Office PowerPoint .
Step 3 Edit the Imported Text
Change to Outline View , and enter or edit all the necessary text for the presentation
Demote Promote Create and edit bullets
Step 4: Select a Design Template
Select a Design Template to be used as a background or create a new background.
Select Color Schemes to select more Color options.
Step 5: Edit Slide Master
Go to the Slide Master and insert headers , footers , logos and slide numbering if needed
Step 6: Images, Graphics, etc.
Start working on the graphical part of the presentation.

Format any text to the desired style

Select Insert from the pull-down menu
Select Picture

Step 7: Slide Transitions and Custom Animations
Go to the Task Pane View and make the finishing touches using Slide Transition and Slide Design-Animation Schemes

Step 8: Printing & Presenting Slides
Printing
When you are ready to make hardcopies of your presentation, you will need to select File >> Print
If you want to print handouts of your slides (with multiple slides per printed page), select your options from the pulldown menu.
Presenting
Select Slide Show >> View Show
Step 9: Test & Practice
Run through the presentation several times to see if there are any modifications to be made.
Practice the show on a projector at least once to make final adjustments
