Can Can Gateway In A Mpc565 Power Pc Microcontroller - Presentation Transcript

    1. CAN-CAN gateway in a MPC565 PowerPC microcontroller based system Requirement: Design and development of CAN-CAN gateway in a MPC565 PowerPC microcontroller based system. System Overview: In an in-vehicle network, a number of control units are interconnected using CAN. The increasing numbers of electronic control units in modern vehicles are leading to excessive bus loading in the system. This problem can be solved by subdividing a vehicle electronic system into multiple CAN networks. A CAN-CAN gateway is used to interconnect these CAN networks. Implementation: Complete software solution for CAN, including drivers and error handling The CAN messages and signals received on one network are sent onto the other CAN network while observing filtering and conversion rules Support of 11 bit and 29 bit identifiers Used CAPL to automate the test cases Automated test cases - Reusable and repeatable testing on a click of button Testing and Validation: Standard QA practices were followed to ensure quality of deliverables Standard Testing practices including Unit testing, Function testing, System testing etc Load testing on the CAN bus
    2. Tools: PowerPC controller based ECU Trace32 debugger Windows XP operating system with CANAlyser PCMCIA cards- CANCardX and CANCardXL FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT EMBEDDED SERVICES, PLEASE VISIT US AT http://www.embitel.com/Embedded_Software_Services_De.55.0.html OR MAIL US AT: sales@embitel.com
