Solutions Available The solution available to consultants working through Von Essen in United
Arab Emirates - Dubai is: Employed
Witholding Taxes There are no withholding taxes on invoices raised from outside the UAE-
Dubai. Von Essen can facilitate local invoicing through our partner if
required.
Contract & Unlike many local sponsors in the UAE-Dubai, Von Essen’s partner has a full
outsourcing sponsorship license. We can therefore support the sponsorship
Payment Structure of consultants working in any business sector, who can in turn legally
work on site for a third party (the end client in UAE-Dubai). To support
this compliant sponsored status, the UAE-Dubai labour department have
insisted on seeing a contract in place between Von Essen’s local partner
and the end client to support the visa requirement. Therefore prior to
completing the immigration process for a consultant we must have this in
place.
This is not intended to replace the usual contract relationship between the
end client and the agency, which will still hold a direct contract with the
client in the UAE-Dubai. Von Essen would sit in the contract chain below
the agency and distribute the funds received from the agency through our
engagement structure as required.
Consultants on Residence Permit/Labour Card will be engaged by our local
partner under a local employment contract to ensure compliance with the
local immigration/labour requirements. Consultants should expect to be
paid monthly under this arrangement.
Registration There are no requirements to register with any authorities in the UAE-Dubai
outside of the immigration process. Support is available to help consultants
apply for local licences/documentation they might require, e.g. Emirates ID
Card, driving licence, liquor licence etc.
Taxation There are no taxes levied in UAE-Dubai on income or wealth of individuals.
Banking & To comply with the Wage Protection System the expatriate consultants
must have a local bank account into which their local salary must be paid in
Local Services United Arab Emirates Dirhams (AED). Access to Swiss private banking is also
available to our consultants where appropriate.
