4. LONDON AQUARIUM:
AIM
The aim of our trip was to spark further interest in the
Topic the children would have been learning about in
Geography: Sustainability. The workshop Go fish! is a
useful way of putting ‘the scene into context’ for children
to actually explore real-life fisheries and consider the
effectiveness of marine conservation.
In relation to Art, we decided to give opportunities for
the children to sketch creatures of their choice.
On returning to school, the drawings would be painted
using ‘water colours’ to keep the ‘water’ theme. After
having gained a deeper insight at the Aquarium, there
would also be a chance for a debate in PSHE over
sustainable fishing.
