    • Biography Leonardo Da Vinci was born on 15th April 1452, in the Castle of Vinci, in the outskirts of Florence. His father ,Piero Da Vinci, was anotary, ambassador and chancellor. His mother, Caterina, only was a peasant. Leonardo was educated in the studio of the renowned Florentinepainter, Verrocchio. Leonardo was renowned primarily as a painter; within his works is The Mona Lisa, is his most famous work an the most parodied. Also he has got many technological ingenuity; he invented things like the first model of the helicopter and musical instruments.

As a successful artist, he was given permission to dissect humancorpses at the Hospital of Santa Maria Nuova in Florence and later at hospitalsin Milan and Rome. From 1510 to 1511 he collaborated in his studies with thedoctor Marcantonio della Torre. Leonardo made over 200 pages of drawingsand many pages of notes of anatomy. Leonardo was essential for the actuallyanatomy.
