    • Understand that preparation is key
    • 4. Distinguish between the different types of resources available
    • 5. Understand why you need to use good quality information sources
    • 6. Understand how to develop and implement a search strategy
    • 7. Understand how to access electronic resources
    • 8. Understand how to use the Internet appropriately
    • 9. Be aware of Reference management software
  • Organise your thoughts
  • 10. Make sure you have enough detail to find the information again
    Always record:
    Source used and the date you used it
    Searches undertaken and results found
    Keywords used, date range searched, location of material
    Full bibliographic details of the material found
    This will help you with your referencing bibliography
