MWL Instructions

  1. 1. How to Register for MyWritingLab
  2. 2. Step 1 • Go to www.mywritinglab.com
  3. 3. Click “Student” under the Register section
  4. 4. Enter the course ID (this will be provided on Blackboard. Be sure to type it exactly!)
  5. 5. You’ll know you’re setting it up correctly if you see this box with our course information in it.
  6. 6. If you have set up a Pearson account before (for MyMathLab, MyCompLab, e tc.), then type in your username and password for that here. Click “Create” here if you’ve never set up a Pearson account (for anything).
  7. 7. If You Already Have a Pearson Account, You’ll See This Page Next. If an access code came with your book, click “Access Code” in this section. If no access code came with your book, and you want to buy access, you can buy it here with a credit card. Remember, MWL isn’t required, so you don’t have to purchase an access code if your book didn’t come with one.
  8. 8. If You’re Creating a Pearson Account for the First Time Use your OTC email address. I’d suggest using your OTC login. It’ll be easy to remember. Important! Write your password down and keep it in a safe place! It’s very difficult to reset it if you forget it. Be sure to check the license agreement box.
