  • 18. Japan helps to defeat the Dutch by March of 1942
  • 19. March 1945 Japan organizes the Indonesian Committee on Independence and drafts a constitution
  • 20. August 9 th 1945 Sukarno is scheduled to go to Vietnam to meet Japan and announce independence </li><ul><ul><li>August 6 th the bomb on Hiroshima is dropped </li><ul><ul><li>The Japanese are too busy surrendering to care about Indonesia
