Project outline <ul><li>Digital School is a initiative integrated on the PRAI-Alentejo, Innovative Strategies and Actions program, approved by the EC on December 02; </li></ul><ul><li>DREAlentejo is a Department from the Ministry of the Education responsible for co-ordination on educational politics in 47 local administrative units with 27.323.70Km 2 and a 776.585 inhabitants in the south of Portugal. </li></ul>
    3. 3. Institutional outline <ul><li>The Regional Department of Education of Alentejo- Direcção Regional de Educação do Alentejo DREAlentejo - was established in 1987. </li></ul>

Public Educational System <ul><li>Constituted of more than 530 public establishments of basic and secondary education with several organization typology: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>vocational schools, </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>secondary schools, </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>basic schools of 2nd and 3rd Cycles, </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>basic schools of 1st Cycle primary </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>integrated Schools (1st , 2nd and 3rd cycle) </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>kindergarden – 3 to 6 years </li></ul></ul>

Objectifs <ul><li>To promote the innovation and the use of the ICT by schools of Alentejo, integrating all the functionalities of the existing software on the market </li></ul><ul><li>To promote the willing, the work and the synergies of the schools of our Region by: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>giving them the tools they need; </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>hearing them and reflecting together. </li></ul></ul>

Objectifs <ul><li>To promote the interchange of experiences of all kind between schools, students and teachers of our region and with those of other regions and countries; </li></ul><ul><li>To promote the development of collaborative networking on our schools, in order to improve their workflow, as a way of dealing and managing their day-by-day problems and activities. </li></ul>

Escola Digital <ul><li>The system is based on the use of a magnetic card, allowing: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Control IN and Out of every person that works and visits the school; </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>The end of the money inside the school; </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>The reservation of the meals for the following days; </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Real-time stock management of stocks either of the refectory, or the bar, or the stationery; </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Each student (or parent), teacher or school worker has a private access to its own current account; </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>The daily bureaucratic work of filling maps, and control of money and papers ends, considering that all is done by the software. </li></ul></ul>
