    • SYLLABUS OUTLINEName and Duration of the CourseThe name of this two years course shall be Master of Journalism and MassCommunicationCourse DescriptionThis programme provides professional education to those wishing to becomejournalists and managers/managerial executives in mass media. The curriculum andsyllabus are designed with the distinct objective to equip the students withknowledge skills and attitude to become more suitable for the present and emergingjob market. The programme takes care of the requirements of the industry as wellas the academia. The courses are intended to impart intensive knowledge andtraining in the print, broadcast, and web media. The media production training willinclude photo journalism, print reporting and editing and video production and TVNews reporting and production.ObjectivesThe MJMC course aims to provide the students with in-depth learning in the areas ofprint journalism, broadcast journalism, web journalism, photo journalism,documentary production, and corporate communication. Professionalism and criticalevaluation skills will be imparted through practical training and learning of theresearch techniques and application of these in their field of specialization.
