Name & Duration of the CourseThis is a two year course where in students will be awarded Post Graduate degree ofPolitical Science MA (Political Science).Course DescriptionThe Master of Arts in Political Science degree offers advanced instruction in the socialscience literature and theories of politics, citizenship and governance. Our basicdisagreements are on how we must constitute our collective life and this is anevaluation that we make on a continual basis with respect to the political and socialorder we inhabit. It is imperative to evaluate, argue and judge and then raise for theconsideration of justification our existing or appropriate political practices and decisions.The course seeks to enhance understanding and exploration in the concerned areas ofour polity.ObjectiveStudents in the Master of Arts in Political Science program will: Demonstrate the ability to apply political science theories and concepts to thestudy of citizenship, governance and politics. Develop a competency in one of the fields of Comparative Politics andInternational Relations; Political Institutions and American Politics; or Law andCourts. Develop basic skills in professional communication appropriate to politicalscience research and analysis. Develop competency in analysis, evaluation, and research design relevant topolitical science research and analysis.Learning Outcomes Students will be able to identify and apply the appropriate methodology, designand analysis for a given problem and understand the ethical components ofresearch choices. Students will be able to apply political science knowledge to contemporarypolitical issues and problems and be able to identify and evaluate alternativepolitical science-based solutions. Students will be able to formulate, propose and advocate political science-basedsolutions to contemporary political issues and problems. Students will be able to conduct and communicate independent, professional-level investigations into problems in a specific political science sub-discipline andthereby contribute to the political science knowledge base.
